If you dont know who this is, stop reading anything about motorcycles, and don't even consider getting a bike..... Elvis wasn't the king, Kenny was (is)
Dr. John... proved that motoguzzi's could be race effectively

MORE DRAG RACING
No idea who this is... or when it was taken... doing motorcycle drag racing without a full face helmet... it was either pre-full face, or the guy was nuts
Another one of those "I've got no stinkin idea" pics, but it's here anywayz
Not really sure why King Kenny and some guy are standing in the middle of the road, but figuring the kings approach to things, theres probably a damn good reason for it.

DRAG RACING
Russ Collins... He had a bike (for lack of a better term) with three 750 engines in it. I would suspect that the displacement of those were anything but 750... When that bike was crashed, he went down to two 750 engines in a chasis, with a GMC blower in between the two.... not sure that I'd want to be standing too close when a bike like that is started.... and I know I'd never want to ride one :-)
This photo shows the triple engined bike, while the crew cares for it. I know know if Russ Collins is in the pic or not.
Collins launching the triple engined beast.
This I believe is the two engined monster with the blower in between... The blower was positioned upside down, that way if it exploded, it would slam into the ground first, then bounce back up at the rider, instead of having a straight path right into the pilots chest... OUCH
Launch time... can only imagine what these things sounded like

FJ's
Just prior to the Interceptor making it to the market, there was one bike that had its mitts well and securely lodged inside the mid weight racing community.. The FJ600 wasn't all that pretty (at least I never thought so), but they were nicely quick, cheap, and bloody everywhere. Never had one, never wanted one, but they have to be mentioned when it comes to early 80's motoryclces.
One of the truly great BIG BORE sport bikes of that era, the FJ1100 (later to be taken off the market for a year, then to re-appear as a 1200)... They were quick, nimble, and as much power as you could really ask for... for a sport tourer. They weren't marketed to the hard core racing groups, though some did pick them up, and took them to the track

I believe this to be a modern day XR replica flat tracker, with the monicer of 'XL' (I think)
This being a 'real' XR... I'm not a harley guy by any means, but would love to see one of these
This looks to be a privateer flat tracker... see the orientation of the exhaust, and the single carb, and you know its not an XR
A CBX.... with a few slight mods
BIG BORE HONDAS
One of the nicest bikes that Honda ever built, were the big bore CB's of the early 80's... though they were quickly usurped in '83 when the Interceptors arrived... but still, have to love the CB750, 900, and 1100 of that era.... for instance....
A 1981 CB750F
which is a model of Honda 750 that I owned... this very color scheme... mine ended up highly modified after a short time.... and mostly saw the race track instead of the road...
Though not exactly like this .... Fast Freddy Spencer on a HRC (or could be Yosh) prepped CB... know this had to be quick...

In 1983, before the appearance of the Interceptors, came the CB1100F... serious drool time over this one...
